Alex McLeish didn't rule out having Obafemi Martins available for Birmingham City crunch clash at West Ham United on Sunday.
The striker was left kicking his heels in Lagos as officials processed his entry visa and missed Wednesday night's 2-2 draw against Manchester City.
McLeish said: "We want him back as soon as possible. Our hands are tied by the red tape. People in Nigeria hopefully will push the wee man through. He's a popular guy and I'm told the embassy would be responsive to allowing Oba to get back in this country as soon as possible."
Martins, who was signed on loan from Russian side Rubin Kazan, would be included in the squad even if he only arrived on Saturday, said McLeish.
