AC Milan manager Maximilliano Allegri has declared that he is happy with the form shown in pre-season training by Taye Taiwo.
The Super Eagles defender joined the Italian giants from French club Marseille this summer on a free transfer and he has since shown flashes of what he is capable of doing.
Taiwo began training with Milan this week and he has been so impressive that Allegri has described the power-playing Nigerian as “fantastic”, hoping that he continues the good showing when the season starts.
“Taiwo has been a good signing for us with a fantastic future,” Allegri told Italian media on Wednesday. “He’s obviously a great player and we are happy to have him with us.”
Taiwo himself has been impressed with what he has seen at Milan and he says he is happy he chose the Italian club over other suitors.
