Orlando Pirates striker Thulasizwe Mbuyane says he is ready to continue where he left off the last time he played at the Lucas Moripe Stadium when Bucs take on SuperSport United in a League game tomorrow. Mbuyane scored a brace against Mamelodi Sundowns the last time Pirates visited the stadium on October 16 last year. The brace against the Brazilians has remains the only two goals scored by the striker in the League this season.
'Juju' and his team-mates visit Pretoria for third time this season after also beating Supersport 3-0 at Loftus Stadium during the Telkom Knockout Cup in November last year and the former Free State Stars striker is hoping lightning will strike in same place again on Saturday.
"Pretoria is my home town and every time I play there I feel like I am playing in the backyard of my home. I am happy to go there again on Saturday and hopefully will score again if I am given the opportunity to play," he says.
"We have set our sights on winning the League this season "

Bucs travel to Tshwane without injured midfielder Dikgang Mabalane but Mbuyane says the team is in high spirit after beating Platinum Stars 5-1 in a friendly played in Johannesburg during mid-week.
"The guys are raring to go and good news is that we don't have any other injuries. We have set our sights on winning the League this season and we can't afford to drop points on Saturday if we hope to achieve our goal."
SuperSport fans are anticipating seeing some of their new signings in action at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Rowen Fernandez and Mario Booysen could make their debut for United against Pirates on Saturday.
Speaking to KickOff.com, Booysen says he is looking forward to make his name at SuperSport United.
"Moving to SuperSport is a stepping stone for me. I am here to learn and grow as a football player. It will be exciting if I get to play on Saturday."
The Cape Town born defender has been touted as a good replacement for Bongani Khumalo who has already left for Tottenham Hotspur in England.
SODJE CLOSE TO FULL FITNESS
- Friday, January 7, 2011, 10:12
Notts County are frustrated Sam Sodje has played only five minutes since moving to Meadow Lane more than two months ago but the club’s assistant boss Alex Rae says the defender is now fit.
Sodje, 31, was the first signing made by Magpies boss Paul Ince at the start of November on a deal until June next year.
He was not match-fit when he joined the League Two champions because he had not played since leaving Charlton Athletic at the end of last season, and his only appearance so far for Notts was as a late substitute in their FA Cup first round win against non-league Gateshead.
He has not been in the Notts squad since their league defeat at Exeter City on November 13.
Rae revealed Sodje’s attempts to get fit have been badly hit by the recent wintry weather because he is unable to train in the gym due to a long-term knee injury.

“Sam has been training with us and he’s getting fitter and fitter all the time,” said Rae.
“The problem is we were not able to train outside for a long period and he can’t do a lot in the gym because of his knee.

“It’s taken him longer to get fit than we would have liked, but hopefully he will be in our plans very soon.
“He travelled with the squad to Walsall and we almost put him in.
“He’s been working hard to get up to speed and he’s getting closer all of the time.
“He will be a good addition to our squad when he is ready.”

Sodje will face a huge battle to win a place in the heart of the Magpies defence because of the current form of the back-four, who have kept four clean-sheets in five league games.

The 28-year old has joined his hometown club in a bid to revive a career that has been badly hampered by injury and claims he opted against a move to one of the big two largely because he wanted to help the club he grew supporting avoid the drop from the Ghana top flight.
"Yes they approached me but I thought it wise to come and help a club that's so much on heart," Illiasu told Radio Gold.
"I took the right decision and I don't regret it in any way. RTU is one of the biggest clubs in Ghana and so I'm happy to be here."

OWUMI FINALLY GOES TO COURT
- Friday, January 7, 2011, 9:59
Ousted Nigeria Premier League Chairman, Davidson Owumi has finally headed to the civil court to reclaim the mandate the NFF arbitration panel claims he fraudulently got.
In the Writ of Summon served on the NFF yesterday, Owumi’s lawyer described the NFF executive committee decision to depose the former Rangers of Enugu player as double jeopardy and consequently not binding on his client. The NFF executive committee’s meeting held at Le Merridien Hotel, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on December 29, 2010 before the annual general assembly, among other decisions, annuled the NPL chairmanship election which was won by Davidson Owumi but which had been a subject of heated controversy with Chief Victor Rumson Baribote standing firm on Owumi’s ineligibility.
On the strenght of Professor Akinola Ibidapo Obe’s Arbitration Award, which was set up by the NFF and which FIFA had ordered NFF to trash out before December 31, 2010 or face sanction, NFF nullified Owumi’s election and ordered for a re-run election into the office of NPL Chairman and Chairman of Chairmen.
