Bechem Chelsea boss Orlando Wellington is in no doubt his charges will keep the Glo Premier League title in the Brong Ahafo region with the second half of the season due to begin on Sunday. Chelsea, backed up solidly by the money of Ernest Kyeremeh have been the form team of the first round and are many people's tip to hold on and complete what would be a historic double for clubs from the Brong Ahafo region in the national league.
Wellington who also doubles as the national Under-20 coach feels the club has the bottle to hold and says they will make a real fist of it in the second half of the season.
The first test of that for Chelsea will come against Mighty Jets at home and while they can be expected to easily pass that, Wellington is aware there will be sterner tests of his side's title credentials later on in the season.
"We know it will not be easy but we have played well, trained well and are very determined and confident that we can hold and become champions. We are sure the league trophy will stay in this region," Wellington said.
Chelsea have been the shining light in a season where the established big boys of the Ghana league have struggled.
Hearts of Oak, AshantiGold and Asante Kotoko who have traditionally ruled the roost in the Ghana league are not in the top five of the league at the half way stage.
