Chelsea Star Tells Siasia, Resumes Training
Chelsea of England midfielder, John Mikel Obi has told Super Eagles head coach, Samson Siasia he will be fit for the March 27 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Ethiopia in Abuja.
Siasia had raised doubts over the availability of the mercurial midfielder following some media reports suggestting Mikel is nursing an injury and he has not featured for his London club for several weeks now.
Mikel has however informed Siasia that he is not only back in training with Chelsea but that he will be fit to play in the game against Ethiopia.
'Mikel has called Siasia to allay the fears that he could be unavailable for the game against Ethiopia at the end of the month',revealed a source close to the Eagles boss.
'Siasia was truly worried by the reports in the media that Mikel could be out of the game but has had his nerve calmed down with the call from the Chelsea star',further revealed the source.
Complete Sports' attempts to get both Mikel and his manager,John Olatunji Shittu to shed more light on the true position of Mikel's injury were futile.
