Super Eagles invitee, Shola Ameobi is expected to return to action this weekend if the information emanating from the Newcastle coach Alan Padew is anything to go by.
The Newcastle forward who has been out of action for the past few weeks due to injury , had a successful surgery in the United States of America recently and the coach believes that he is strong enough to face Everton in this weekend's EPL game.
"I'm really hoping he'll be back for the Everton game, and Stephen Ireland should hopefully be back for that as well,"the coach said.
"Shola had a problem with the mask misting up a little bit," said Pardew.
"It doesn't cover his eyes, but he sweats up so it's just about him getting comfortable with it.
"The pressure points are everywhere on his face other than the area that was injured, and that looks fine. It's a great, well-crafted product but he needs to get comfortable with it on his face.
It would be recalled that the same injury which he sustained at Fulham early February also denied him the opportunity of being part of the Nigeria's international friendly agaist Sierra Leone last month in Lagos.
