Everton of England strike star, Victor Anichebe, has arrived for the June 1 international friendly against Argentina in Abuja and the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier away to Ethiopia in Adis Ababa.
The 2008 Beijing Olympic silver medalist breezed in to the country over the weekend after helping the Merseysiders to pick an Europa Cup slot for the next season as they finished in the 7th position on the English Premier League log. He is one of the forward men coach Samson Siasia will be banking on to deliver the goals when the team come up against Argentina in the high-profile friendly game inside the Abuja national stadium this Wednesday as well as the all-important qualifying match against the East Africans four days later.
Anichebe returned from a back injury recently and was regular for David Moyes’ team leading the attack albeit with no goal to show for it towards the end of the of the just concluded season.
