Having conquered Africa at the just concluded Africa Youth Championships hosted by South Africa after their memorable 3-2 extra time win over arch rivals Cameroun in the final, the victorious Flying Eagles team are expected to arrive Nigeria aboard Arik Airline between 3:30pm or 4pm on Monday alongside Ogun State’s Commissioner of Sports, Hon. Bukola Olopade who was part of the team success.
On ground to welcome the Flying Eagles at the Airport are Ministers, who will then take the team on a motor trip to Western hotel with their trophy on display.
Meanwhile, the Eagles will be hosted to a dinner at Sheraton hotel, Ikeja in which re-elected Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola, officials of the Nigeria Football Federation and eminent dignitaries in the country, will be in attendance to celebrate with the team.
The Flying Eagles have now won the AYC six times and will represent Nigeria as Africa’s champions at the World Youth Championship scheduled for Colombia later this year in which they have been pitched in group D alongside Croatia, Guetemala and Saudi Arabia.
