ENYIMBA DRAW,PILLARS CRASH


Sunshine, Kaduna Utd Win At Home



Nigerian teams recorded impressive performances in CAF inter-club competitions over the weekend with each of Sunshine Stars of Akure and Kaduna United hitting their opponents 2-0 in their CAF Confederations Cup first leg second round games.

Two second half goals by Kayode Abiodun in the 46th minute and Ajani Ibrahim in the 75th minute helped the continental football debutants ease past Camerounian side Tiko United.

In Kaduna,another debuting side, Kaduna United, took a commanding 2-0 lead in their first leg clash against Tchadian side Foula Edifice with goals coming from Aliyu Adamu in the 47th minute and Linus Adams on the hour mark.

In the CAF Champions League Enyimba drew goalless with hosts Union Sportive of Libreville while Kano Pillars crashed to a 2-0 defeat in the hands of Moroccan side, Waydad Casablanca.
The return leg matches will come up in two weeks’ time.
