FANS WILL PAY TO WATCH SUPER EAGLES

The Nigeria Football Federation have rubbished suggestion that they will throw the gates open for the March 27 African Nations cup match against Ethiopia.

Chairman of the technical committee of the NFF, Barrister Chris Green who debunked the suggestion was not however forthcoming on the gate fees for the match albeit Complete Sports gathered that it has been pegged at N500 for other terraces and N3000 for the VIP stands

NFF assistant General Secretary, Marketing, Mr Idris Adama said that Super Eagles matches cannot be watched for free because it is Nigeria’s biggest brand and that it will belittle the team to throw the gates open for fans.

“Nigerians should appreciate their team by coming out en-masse to cheer them. They should be passionate about the team and should pay to watch them. I mean there are Nigerians who are ready to spend N1,500 to watch their foreign clubs on screen so why won’t they pay N500 to see their darling team” he stated.
