MIKEL RANKED 6TH BEST EPL MIDFIELDER

 Super Eagles midifelder, John Mikel Obi has been ranked sixth in the top ten midfielders by the players’ performances index in the Barclays Premier League for the week 15 round of matches.
The former Lyn Oslo player who had earlier been adjudged the best passer of the ball in the on-going campaign for the  suffering Blues has recorded an astonishing 4598 completed passes at a rate of 89.93% per 1000 ahead of his closest rival, Paul Scholes who plays for Manchester United.
Mikel, 23,  who is currently the heart beat of the double champions earned 214 points according to the EA Sports Index, four points behind Arsenal’s Cameroun midfielder, Alex Song who occupies the fifth position.
Chelsea’s Florent Malouda tops the list with 275 points, 44 points ahead of second place Sebastian Larrson of Birmingham while Luis Nani and Darren Fletcher both of Manchester United finished third and fourth  with 227 and 221 points respectively.
Meanwhile, the quartet of Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Osaze Odemwingie Dickson Etuhu and Victor Anichebe were not listed in the top 100 rankings in the English Premiership.
