FATE OF NIGERIA ASSOCIATION IN CAMBODIA

Highlights
-NCSA has a new name.
-President arrest.
-Unity as the key survival

Over the past four years, Nigerians resident in the kingdom of Cambodia have come under an umbrella of Nigeria Community Services Association NCSA now know as Nigerians in Diaspora NIDO .Until recent time, the association was primarily channeled to bring all Nigerians together in unity and peace as the true symbol of our great Country. To combine careers, skills, ideology, intellectuals, information system, experiences, good governance, equity and trust. To project good image of our Country, Nigeria to Cambodia and her people. To be responsible and concerned about the welfare of Nigerians residing in kingdom of Cambodia. Membership is open to Nigerians in Cambodia doing legitimate businesses within and outside the kingdom.

The association has produced great leaders in handling her affairs and amongst those are Dr. Ken Gabriel Gadaffi. A lecturer in several universities across the capital city. Mr. Ken was President for four consecutive years. Acting as his vice was Mr. Emmanuel Tony Jackson. Also a lecturer in major universities and schools in the capital city. Late Mr. Andrew Ehiwarior became President after four years of Gadaffi's reign in office. Position he didn't live to enjoy. Andrew died after about three months in office. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace-amen.

Taken over leadership is Ugochukwu Tony. He was deputy President to late Andrew and with constitutional rights and provisions Tony assumed the vacant president's seat. Tony was officially inaugurated as president few months ago after controversial debates amongst Nigerians. In fact, Tony posed for a better future with the association as president trying to bring back lost image of Nigerians in Cambodia.  He's man with full enthusiasm to work and ready to go extremely in unifying seemly divided Nigerians. He often preached the gospel of peace and oneness amongst Nigerians. He was ready to carry along everyone. He never identify an opposition as his enemies. I would say that he has the charisma to change things for good if given freelance to serve as the new president.

There's something unique about this young man's administration. He brought Nigeria Ambassador from Philippines to Cambodia. A chain no past president was able to break. He has rescued many Nigerians from Cambodia police detention. He sent food to imprisoned individuals, provided ticket to stranded Nigerians too return home, contributed to welfare of different organizations like All Africans Football Union (AFU). He denoted boots to footballers during the first ever mock Africa nations cup in Southeast Asia. He has been the people's president and hope seem to be bright for Nigerians in Cambodia. Then I asked myself, does such man deserves to be stabbed from behind?  You might be wondering why the use of the word stabbed.

Weeks ago, Tony was arrested by the police for alleged drug charges. Rumors has it in town that he was setup. But by who and for what purpose? why would a man of goodwill be setup? what does one stand to gain ruining others. Well, everyone trust on kingdom's police for their integrity in carrying out proper investigations to fetch out the truth and bring those behind this evil doing to book. Tony has been in detention awaiting trials. No one knows when his fate would be decided. We are appealing to the authorities in charge to please speedy up investigations and let justice prevail.

Nigerians recognized the credibility of Cambodia police. Fair enough to administer justice without bias, fear or favor and we are strongly counting on them for the truth to finally come out. In words of Mr. Beed Uwalaka special adviser to the NIDO "a house that's divided against itself cannot stand". Nigerians in Cambodia must unite and together we all fight a good fight.

Alutal continual, victoria acenta.

One nation one people one Nigeria.

  2. By the way, whats all these talks about change from NCSA to NIDO? How is NIDO going to help better the lots of the suffering Nigerians in Cambodia. NIDO is suppose to be meant for the elite, intellects and well oriented Nigerians in Diaspora. Will NIDO Cater for the welfare of Nigerians as NCSA has done from inception?

  3. I will request the author to respond to Mr Gadafi questions, and what does Me Bede mean by "a house that's divided against itself cannot stand". Nigerians in Cambodia must unite and together we all fight a good fight.

  4. I can point to some lies in the author contributions, ''
There's something unique about this young man's administration. He brought Nigeria Ambassador from Philippines to Cambodia. A chain no past president was able to break'' this is a blatant lies, the Nigerian Ambassador in Philippines has been coming here since year 2000. Please check your facts, then he was hosted at Inter Con hotel, with representatives of 5 countries, and the Ministry of Interior were represented, he later in the evening presented his letter of accreditation to the then King if you need more details, The
It might be very well for the author to tell us what he knows about the ex president case, it has all been rumors, this is a public media you should check your fact before you write

  5. The ex president is not the only Nigerian in Cambodian prison arrested rightly or wrongly, it might well for the author to make a comprehensive list and let the public know.

It might be very good to let us know too, the transformation from old association to new one and who gave the ''old exco '' the mandate to be the head of NIDO, do you guys just transform yourself? on whose authority? ambassador or Nigerians in Cambodia that elected you? or you guys just decide to do this on your own? for who good? to solve whose problem?

I think the present exco are causing more problems for Nigerian here than any other previous administration and completely naive about the needs of Nigerians in Cambodian, nor an idea how NIDO works, how many members of the exco knows how NIDO works, my advice is for the exco to resign from your elected post if you want to form NIDO, you cannot use that platform to transform yourself, unless you have hidden agenda.

  6. I think the writer of this article is trying to cover something up. @father, you have made a very good point that the embassy in Phillipines have been coming since 2000. I could recollect that during Gadaffi's time, the Ambassador comes every three months and each time he has a general meeting with all Nigerians. maybe the unique thing the author is trying to say is that the current ambassador only comes to see some selected people because twice that he has come to cambodia now, he only met some selected few.

What are you trying to say here? that the president was set up or what?

  8. @truth it is very disheartening to see the author distorting facts, this has been part of the problems confronting Nigerians back home and in diaspora, when the Exco played hide and seek game with the presence of the ambassador, are Nigerians in Cambodia murderers that they will resort to kill the ambassador if he was also to them?, or are some Nigerian not worthy to meet or dine with the ambassador? Jesus Christ came to save the sinners, the poor, the downtrodden, not the Pharisee or the Apostles. Can that be said of the Ambassador? @truth the present Exco must let us know there true intention before the association cease to exit in Cambodia, either the NIDO or NSCA because they have successfully created divisions among Nigerians by their unprofessional, immature, arrogant and insensitive decisions, they are elected and they must answer to the house,@truth if they want to form NIDO, they must resign from the NSCA association, they cannot carry it over, NCSA is different from NIDO, or they must seek the mandate of the Nigerian, maybe the all time ''special adviser'' for life, in his wisdom will come out and stop been economical with truth for posterity sake.

  9. @ Father, I am still not getting it. The intent of the writer of this article is still not clear going by the title of the post.

What exactly is the fate of the Nigerian Association in Cambodia now? It took GADAFFI's great wisdom and desterity to build the Nigerian Community from the scratch. And just within 4 months after handing over, things have all fallen apart.

The qestion is WHO IS LEADING THE ASSOCIATION NOW?

  10. ina kwa uno? Mr.Edoh, you posted a sensitive topic, you must respond to it, because you asked for it, a blind man does not lead a blind man, @truth the issue at stake here is distortion of facts by a member of the Exco,so if a member of Exco is ''presume'' to be lying,[ well until he respond] where is the future of Nigerians in Cambodia?.

The genesis of the present administration till the present moment has been one of a hell for Nigerians resident in Cambodia, it has been one controversy after the other, the power of darkness has taken over, everybody is paranoid.

The next agenda is to change association name, catapult themselves into power as NIDO Cambodia, it is now secret meetings, secret dealings, my big question to all is that, on whose behalf are these Exco doing this?

Things has fallen apart, the center cannot hold, mere anarchy is loosed upon Nigerians in Cambodia, How prophetic is Ogbuefi Chinua Achebe

  11. @Father, i suspected that the writer was trying to use this forum to unveil the hidden agenda of the present Exco from this write up and it has just been confirmed in his other post that the excos have now been tranformed to NIDO.
Whose agenda are these people trying to front for God sake?

  12. anybody who knows anything about this association knows that the blog reeks of cover up and is full of lies..the president is well known in his dealings with drugs and was in fact a well known drug dealer in vietnam before arriving in cambodia, anybody who says differently is fooling themselves or an outright liar...is his lifestyle commisserate with a busienssman in cambodia? i think not, expensive cars that he was purchasing and driving, nobody is making that much money legitimately in cambodia...the association should give it up, nothing has been the same since Gadaffi left, it lies in ruins and this blog is a poor attempt to reserect it and perhaps a grab for power by the author who is clearly a flunkie of the jailed president

  13. I didn't even see this post before now. By the way, what is the motive of this article? is it a rallying call or to make a case for the fallen president?

  14. @donna. Thanks for hitting the nail on the head. The writer of this post is quite economical with the truth. Why has he not responded to the issues raised.
Becuase internet is easily accessible does not mean people can just post whatever they like without checking for facts.
