SUPER EAGLES CAMP COMES ALIVE

Ahead of June 1 international friendly encounter against Argentina and June 5, 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia, The Transcorp Hilton Camp of the Super Eagles is expected to come alive today, with the expected arrivals of team captain Joseph Yobo and five senior members of the squad.

Collins Udoh, the media officer of the team confirmed that Yobo alongside the likes of Vincent Enyeama, Taye Taiwo, John Obi Mikel, Obinna Nsofor, among others are likely to be the early arrivals at the camp.
“I expect the lads to start arriving on the 29th (today) even though the dead line is Monday.
“However, even if the players all decide to arrive on Monday by the stipulated time, it’s all good,” Udoh said.

The squad is expected to have light training on Monday evening with the first full work out not expected to commence until Tuesday morning.
It would be recalled that the team’s gaffer Samson Yebowei Siasia had last week announced a list of 24 players including two home-based players to camp.
Two players, Victor Moses and Shola Ameobi were kept on standby with the hope that their requests for eligibility materialize before the matches.
Meanwhile, four officials and 10 players from Argentina are equally expected to arrive Abuja today ahead of the friendly duel.
The rest of the squad will join them on Monday.
