YOBO ON THE VERGE OF FIRST CUP SUCCESS

Super Eagles Skipper Near Turkish Title With Fenerbahce
Nigeria defender Joseph Yobo will on Sunday take the first step towards winning a first ever league trophy in his career as his club Fenerbahce take on Sivasspor.
Yobo, who is on loan from Everton, has found renewed vigour since his move to Turkey last summer.
He has brought strength to the Fenerbahce defence as the club are now looking to win their first title in four years.
Fenerbahce are tied on 79 points with rivals Trabzonspor, and proceedings on the final day will determine who wins the league.
“It’s been a long battle and we have to do all we can to realise the title dream on the last day of the season,” Yobo told BBC Sport.
“We respect our final opponents, our rivals [Trabzonspor], and this is a good thing for the Turkish league.
“I’ve never won a league title before in my career.
“I made the sacrifice to be here and I am happy with the club, team mates, fans, the country and the league.”
The club also parades Senegalese players Issiar Dia and Mamadou Niang, who has scored 16 goals since his move from Marseille.
